Corona Virus update

Due to the constantly changing situation around the COVID-19, commonly known as the Corona Virus, the following changes to the running of Club Trillium have been implemented.

Function Room Bookings - At this stage, future function room bookings received will not be approved until further notice.  Residents with existing function room bookings will be contacted individually.  Residents are encouraged to make other arrangements for private bookings or look at postponing your function to a later date.

Family Easter Event - Due to Victoria now being declared a 'State of Emergency', we have made the unfortunate decision to cancel our Family Easter Event which was to be held on Saturday 11th of April.  Later in the year we will be organising another children's event and will update you all on the progress.

"Project Nature Strip" - Due to a very underwhelming response from our residents, we have had to postpone this working bee.  A future date will be advised in due course. Please note this event was organised with Community Spirit in mind.

Moving Forward - The running of Club Trillium will be guided by the advice of the Department of Heath & Human Services and the Department of Education & Training. If an announcement is made to advise of school closures, the facility will close as well. Please see the following process which we will be adhering to:

Phase 1 - Changes to cleaning procedures and installation of hand sanitizers throughout the facility. - Already implemented

Phase 2 - Community Events will be cancelled until the end of April at this stage. Community Initiative Classes will continue as normal.  New Function Room bookings made as of 17th March 2020 will not be approved until the end of April.  Residents with current Function Room Bookings will be encouraged to cancel or postpone their event to a later stage in the year. Cancellation fee will be waived for any Function Room Booking cancellations until the end of April. - Currently in place.

Phase 3 - If the Victorian Government announces the closure of public places such as schools and shopping Centres, the facility will be closed to all access. Community Initiative classes will then be suspended.

Phase 4 - At a later date, the facility will re-open for resident use only once we received advise from the Victorian Government.  Further details will be released in relation to Function Room Bookings and Community Initiative classes.

These procedures have been put into place for the wellbeing of our residents & community, therefore we ask that residents entering the facility at the present time make use of the hand sanitizers, wash their hands and wipe down all gym equipment after use.

Please remember the following very easy preventative steps:

  • Hand washing with soap and water is an extremely effective way to keep germs at bay.
  • Please reconsider visiting the facility if you are unwell
  • Cover your nose & mouth with your elbow if you sneeze or cough.  Never use your hand as a barrier.  As a precaution, always wash your hands after sneezing.
  • Make sure all used tissues and hand towels are placed in the bins provided.
  • Please call your GP if are experiencing any flu-like symptoms.

Again, thank you for your co-operation in this matter.  This unplanned situation is out of our control, so we must do our best to help combat the virus. Remember, we are all in this together.
