Trillium Kid's Activity - Mini Lid Banjo!

This week's Activity will involve making your very own musical instrument!  Let's make Mini Lid Banjo's!

What you will need:

  • Lid from a jar
  • Jumbo craft sticks or large paddle pop sticks
  • Loom bands or small coloured rubber bands
  • Washi Tape or stickers
  • Permanent marker - different colours
  • Masking tape or duct tape
  • Craft glue
  • Decorations - feather, sequins, etc

Let's Create!

  1. Place the loom/rubber bands around the lid and use your masking/duct tape on the top of the lid to keep the bands in place.
  2. Decorate your craft stick using the glue, decorations, markers, washi tape, or stickers so that it is bright & colourful!
  3. Place 4 small dots on the end of your stick for the little knobs at the end of your banjo.  For a bit of extra sparkle, you could use sequins instead.
  4. Using Craft glue, stick your lid with the "banjo strings" on to the craft sticks to create your mini banjo.
  5. Allow drying before creating music!

Remember to share your creations with us!

Local Business Shout Outs! - Start Monday!

Our Local Business Shout Outs are starting on Monday!

Did you know that Club Trillium has a Business Directory?  This is the central place where all the local businesses in the Estate can list their business venture and make their details available for other local residents.  This small but particularly useful part of our website has been a bit neglected in the last, so let's work on this page back to life again! If you have a local business, we are asking for you to register your business on this page.  We do understand that a lot of local businesses advertise on the unofficial Facebook Page, but we are hoping to get these businesses to join our Business Directory page as a more 'official' means of communication within the Estate.

Each Monday, a newsletter will be issued with a BUSINESS SHOUT OUT to one random local business each week.  To be included your details MUST be registered on this page. This will aim at supporting local business & creating local awareness for our community.  We will also be recommending these businesses listed as a preferred option for Function Room bookings. We will contact the business owner the week before to let them know their turn is next.

We need to be supporting each other during these hard economic times post-COVID.  Supporting our local community is a great way to start!
